Carlos has advanced through UHEMS, taking on roles such as paramedic, rescue specialist, member of the special operations team, tactical paramedic, and instructor at the hospital. Since 1997, Carlos has been serving in the USAF Reserves as an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician and has participated in numerous operations since 2001. He is currently serving as a boom operator with a refueling squadron.
